In the heart of the English Way to Santiago de Compostela, where every step carries centuries of history, stands Casa Dona María. It is not just a country house: it is an open door to the most authentic Galicia, its traditions, its landscape, and its serenity.
This centuries-old house is one of the oldest examples of the traditional casas das agras in the Ordes region. Its origins are closely linked to the nearby Romanesque church of San Paio de Buscás, making it a living part of the area’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
Carefully and respectfully restored, it still preserves its timeless soul: the stone oven, the old wine cellar, the thick walls that have witnessed the passage of time… Everything has been thoughtfully maintained to offer you a cozy and comfortable experience, without losing the history that brought us here.

Hello, I’m Verónica Perol. It gives me great joy to welcome you to this house, which I now manage with all the care in the world. After more than 20 years dedicated to tourism, events, and protocol, and with training in Art History and languages, I felt it was time to do something more personal: to accompany you on your journey.
Although the stone and history have been here for centuries, what is new is the way I take care of every detail to make you feel comfortable from the very first moment.
